This alert gives notice to businesses within the 16th District (Jefferson Park) about recent burglaries which have occurred overnight during the month of April. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry to the premises by forcibly kicking or prying open the front or rear door. Offender(s) also have gained entry by breaking the front windows of the business. Once inside, the offender(s) took money and various other items including electronics and cigarettes. This alert gives notice of two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 17th District (Albany Park). In both incidents, the victims were standing at CTA Bus Stops when they were robbed. In one incident, the offenders displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet. This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing)

that an increase in burglary related incidents have occurred during the month of APRIL. In these incidents, the offender(s) enters the location and removes property within.

Incident times and locations are listed below:

  • 6600 block S. Drexel Ave. on April 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.
  • 6700 block S. Dorchester Ave. on April 19, 2017 at 10:12 A.M.
  • 6500 block S. University Ave. on April 21, 2017 at 6:20P.M.
  • 6900 block S. Maryland Ave. on April 25, 2017 at 11:20 A.M.
  • 6600 block S. Ingleside Ave. on April 25, 2017 at 7:20 A.M.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies/Strong Armed Robberies that have
occurred in the 15th District. In each incident, the offender(s) approached the victims while
they are alone and returning to their vehicles after exiting businesses along Chicago Avenue.
All incidents are occurring in the late evening hours. Incident times and locations are listed
below:
• 5100 Block of West Chicago on April 22, 2017 at 11:15pm.
• 5600 Block of West Chicago on April 25, 2017 at 10:45pm.
• 5200 Block of West Chicago on April 29, 2017 at 10:30pm.
• 5600 Block of West Chicago on April 30, 2017 at 10:48pm.
About the Offender(s):
• #1 Male black, 28 to 35 years-old, approx. 5’10”-6’1″ , approx. 170-190lbs
• #2 Male black, 20 to 30 years-old, approx. 5’5″-5’7″, approx.150-170lbs

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of
burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of April. In these
incidents, offender(s) gained entry into a residence through a rear window/ door and
took property from therein. These incidents have occurred in the geographical
locations listed below:

7900 Block of S. Washtenaw Ave on April 6, 2017 at approximately 3:10 P.M.
7900 Block of S. Western Ave on April 6, 2017 at approximately 9:00 P.M.
7900 Block of S. Campbell Ave on April 8, 2017 at approximately 2:30 P.M.
7900 Block of S. Richmond Ave on April 11, 2017 at approximately 5:20 P.M.
7900 Block of S. Fairfield Ave on April 12, 2017 at approximately 8:50 A.M.

• Keep the perimeter of your property well lit

activity.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 7th District (Englewood) of recently reported armed robberies involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the offenders approach the victims seated in their vehicles. A firearm is ultimately produced and the victim is robbed of their personal belongings. For More Information Click Here

On April 30, 2017 at approximately 9:10 p.m. a 31-year-old female was walking southbound on the 4300 block of North Campbell when she was approached from behind by an unknown offender, described as a male black wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. The offender produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The offender then ordered the victim into the alley on the 2400 block of W. Pensacola where he sexually assaulted her. The offender then fled westbound in the alley.
