This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of January.
Grand Boulevard Man Charged in Austin Shooting
Steven Mc Kinnie, 27 , was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot two people in the 500 block of S. Lavergne on January 2, 2016, at approximately 4:50 a.m. Mc Kinnie was involved in a verbal dispute when he fired shots in the direction of two males. A 34-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the back and abdomen and was taken to Stroger in critical condition. The second victim, a male, 29, sustained four gunshot wounds to the torso and was transported in good condition to Stroger. Click here for additional information.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of December. In these incidents, 2-3 unknown male black offenders approach victim, display a handgun and demand the victim’s property.
