30 Apr 18 - Two Men Charged in Church Burglary
Calderon and Patterson were arrested on April 29, 2018, after they were identified as the offenders wanted in connection to a burglary of a church that occurred on April 15, 2018, in the 700 block of N. Wabash at approximately 7:30 p.m.  The offenders worked for a security company and entered the church using a key and while inside gained access to a safe and removed an unknown amount of cash.  Calderon and Patterson were identified through video surveillance and were placed into custody without incident. No further information is available at this time.

11 Apr 18 Community Alert Robbery_P18-1-099 18th District
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of recently reported strong arm robberies.  In each incident, the offenders approach the victims, attack them using physical force, and take the victims property. The offenders then flee on foot or to a waiting vehicle. The incidents have occurred in Beat 1831.

11 apr 18-Community Alert-Wanted 001-018 District
On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at approximately 10:53 p.m. in the area of 1200 W. Webster Avenue, an unknown offender attacked a 21 year old female. The victim was walking east bound towards the Red Line Fullerton/Sheffield CTA train. The offender attacked the victim from behind by grabbing her by the neck in a choke hold and stabbing the victim repeatedly in the upper body area.  The offender never spoke and the victim was unaware that she was being followed. The offender fled east bound.

04 APR 18- Charge Release for Gino Bassett 1
Bassett was arrested on April 4th, 2018 at approximately 10:20 a.m. after he was positively identified as the individual who fatally stabbed a man on March 23, 2018 at approximately 2:27 a.m. in the 400 block of N. State. Bassett approached the 55 year-old victim in an alley and stabbed the victim in the neck.  The victim was transported to Northwestern where he was pronounced.  Bassett fled to the stairwell of the Grand and State CTA redline where he displayed a knife and threatened to stab two female victims ages 21 and 26 before fleeing.  After learning of his whereabouts, Bassett was placed into custody without incident and charged accordingly.  No further information is available at this time.

30 mar 18-Community Alert-Redline Robberies
Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance regarding three Robberies that occurred on the Red line train as the train approached the Fullerton Stop. The offenders would approach there victim acting as they were armed with a handgun demanding property from their victims and taking the victims property by the use of force. These incidents occurred on March 30, 2018 at approximately 12:45 am. on CTA property located in the 900 block of W. Fullerton

18 Mar 18 - 018th District Community Alert Robbery_P18-1-081
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of recently reported robberies.  In each incident, the offender approaches the victims from behind, places a hard object in their back, implying a weapon, and demands money from them. The offender then takes the victim’s property and flees on foot. The incidents have occurred in Beats 1811 and 1814.

18Mar18 Business Alert Robbery_P18-1-079 018th District
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of two recently reported armed robberies.  In each incident, the offender enters a small retail establishment, displays a silver handgun, and demands cash from the cash register. The offender then flees the area on foot. Surveillance video recovered from both incidents indicates the same offender committed both armed robberies.
