16 Nov 18 18-CWP-009(BA) Business Alert 14th,17th,18th,19th and 25th District NP

This alert gives notice to recent Armed and Strong Armed Robberies of convenience stores that have occurred within the boundaries of the 14th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 25th Districts.  While all convenience stores could be a possible target, the ones mentioned in these incidents are 7-11 stores.  In these incidents at least two of the offenders approached the clerk, grabbed and forced him/her to open the cash register. In one incident the offenders displayed handguns.  The other offenders either entered the stores and stole merchandise or stood watch at the store entrance.  The offenders took an unknown amount of US currency from the cash registers, as well as, other items throughout the store.

11 Nov 18 Business Alert- Strong Arm Robberies 14th District (Shakespeare), 18th District (Near North) and 19th District (Town Hall) NP

This alert gives notice to recent strong arm robberies of convenience stores that have occurred within the boundaries of the 14th, 18th and 19th District.  In these incidents, two of the offenders approached the clerk in the convenience store, grabbed him, and forced him to open the cash register.  The third offender entered the store and stayed guarding the front entrance.  The offenders then took an unknown amount of US currency from the cash register and other merchandise before fleeing the scene.

31 Oct 18 - Community Alert - Residential Burglaries 19th District (Town Hall) P18-N-277CA --NP

This alert gives notice to residents in the 19th District (Town Hall) of burglary incidents that have occurred during the month of October. In these incidents, the offender(s) entered the victims’ residences in one of two ways; either by an unlocked window/door or by taking the garage remote from an unlocked vehicle and entering through the attached garage.  Once inside, the offender(s) took various items from the victims’ home or vehicles.  In some instances the victims were at home asleep or otherwise preoccupied while the offense took place.

31 Oct 18 - Community Alert - Residential Burglaries 19th District (Town Hall) P18-N-278CA -NP

This alert gives notice to residents in the 19th District (Town Hall) of burglary incidents that have occurred during the month of October. In these incidents, the offender(s) entered the victims’ residences through an unlocked door or through a window after cutting the window screen.  Once inside, the offender(s) took various items from the victims’ home.

25 OCT 18- 019th District Community Alert- Attempt Armed Robberies- P18-N-267(CA)
This alert gives notice to recent Attempted Strong Arm Robberies that have occurred in the 019th District.  In these incidents, the offender approached the victim(s) on the street and asked for money.  When the victim(s) refused, the offender threatened the victim(s) and demanded their property. 12 Oct 18 - Home Invasion - 19th District - NP

Unknown offenders entered the vestibule to the apartment building and waited for someone to exit.  The offenders made entry into an unlocked apartment and the victim came home while the offenders were going through the victim’s property. One of the offenders pulled the victim inside, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property while another offender went through the victim’s pockets.  The offenders fled the scene with the victim’s property.

12 Oct 18 Community Alert -Thefts 14th and 19th District -NP

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 14th and 19th Districts of multiple incidents where property has been stolen from the victims while they are sitting in a restaurant or coffee shop.  The offender approaches the victims and distracts them by soliciting for a charity or by showing the victim a piece of paper.  While the victim is distracted, the offender steals the victim’s property from the table

11 Oct 18 - 18th and 19th District Aggravated vehicular hijacking and Armed Robbery 18CWP-007(CA)NP

This alert gives notice to recent Aggravated Vehicular Hijackings and Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 18th and 19th District.  In these incidents, the offenders approached the victims while they were alone in their stopped vehicle or alone on the street.  The offenders then ordered the victims out of the vehicle: in some incidents while displaying one or multiple handguns and in others by physically pulling the victims from the vehicle.
