This alert gives notice of three recent Robbery incidents that have occurred within the boundaries of the 007th District (Englewood), on beats 731 & 722. In these cases, two male offenders take a taxi cab from the downtown area and request to be dropped off in the area of 6700 S. Perry and 7400 S. Harvard. When exiting the car, one of the offenders displays a handgun, taking cash from the taxi driver. All incidents occur between 2:00am-4:00am.

Englewood Man Charged in Murder
08 Jun 17 – Charges for Quinton Gates, 18
Quinton Gates was arrested after being identified as the person who murdered a 19-year-old male on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at approximately 7:47 p.m., in the vicinity of the 700 block of W. Marquette Road. Gates approached the male victim and fired several shots striking the victim in the head and body before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to Christ Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. No further information is available at this time.
DUI Saturation Patrol – 7th (Englewood) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the 7th (Englewood) District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7 p.m., on Friday, June 9, 2017 and end at 3 a.m., on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 7th District (Englewood) of recently reported armed robberies involving similarly described offenders. CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Robberies 7th District
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 007th District (Englewood) of Robbery related incidents which have occurred in the month of February. In these incidents, the offenders approached the victims on foot or after exiting a vehicle. The offenders physically took property from the victims and fled.
