On January 9, 2017 at approximately 10:05 p.m., a 21 year old female pedestrian was crossing the street at 69th and Wentworth Ave when she was fatally struck by an unknown vehicle, which is described and pictured in this Community Alert.
Englewood Woman Charged in Death of Infant
14 Dec 16- Charges for Willa Wickerson, 56
Wickerson was placed into custody after being identified as the person responsible for the death of 1-month-old male. Officers responded to the 6600 block of S. Racine on December 7, 2016 at approximately 2:10 p.m. where the infant was reported unresponsive.
Two Juveniles Charged in Javon Wilson Homicide
A male and female juvenile were arrested after being identified as the pair involved in a shooting incident on the 5600 block of S. Princeton at approximately 6:45 p.m. on November 18, 2016.

DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROL – Englewood (007th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Englewood
(007th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on
Saturday, November 12, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers
that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place
emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for
speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators.
In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow
officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI)
prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows
for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Strike Force
Patrol.
