CPD Community Alert – Seeking to Identify Burglary Offender in the 18th District (Near North) RD# JA142727
Chicago Police are seeking to identify the pictured individual who is the offender in a burglary that occurred at approximately 3:00a.m. on February 5, 2017 in the 1000 block of North Clark. As the victim was sleeping, the pictured offender opened her unlocked door and entered her apartment, taking numerous credit cards and money.
CPD BUSINESS ALERT- Robberies 8th District
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of robbery incidents which have occurred during recent months. During these incidents, the unknown offender ordered food from a local restaurant and robbed the delivery driver upon his arrival. The offender has either displayed or implied a weapon during these incidents.

Attempt Vehicular Hijacking 012 District community alert JA154853On February 15, 2017, at 2:15 p.m., an unknown offender approached the victim while she was in her car on the 2000 block of West Chicago Avenue. The offender opened up the driver’s side door of the victim’s car and attempted to enter the vehicle by grabbing the victim by the chest, pushing her down in a forceful manner. The victim was able to fight the offender off and forced him out of the vehicle. The offender then fled the scene west bound on Chicago Avenue.

DUI SATURATION PATROL – OGDEN (10th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Ogden (10th)
District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday,
February 10, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017.
The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers
that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place
emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for
speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators.
In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow
officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI)
prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows
for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Saturation
Patrol.
The DUI Saturation Patrol conducted in the Near West (12th) District on February 4-5, 2017
resulted in the following:
