CPD Community Alert – Armed Robberies in the 11th District (P17-N-015CA)
This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies that have occurred in the 011th District. In all of the incidents, multiple male black offenders approached the victims with masks covering their faces, displayed handguns, and then took the victims’ personal property.
CPD Community Alert – Vehicular Hijackings in the 11th District (P17-N-011CA)
This alert gives notice of three Vehicular Hijackings that have occurred in the 011th District in the month of January. In all of these incidents, the offender approached and ordered the victim to exit their automobile before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Juvenile Charged in Sexual Assault
20 JAN 17- Juvi Charged in Sexual Assault14 Dec 16- 14th Dist CSA Robbery (HZ550950)
The juvenile was taken into custody after being positively identified as the individual who sexually assaulted a female victim. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of W. Crystal at approximately 3:52 a.m. on December 14, 2016. In the incident, the offender approached a twenty-three-year-old female victim and struck her in the head with a handgun.
CPD Community Alert: Garage Burglaries 011th District
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 011th District (Area North) of
Garage Burglaries that have occurred during the month of January. In all of these
incidents, the offender(s) made forced entry through the garage door and then took
property.
CPD Community Alert- Armed Robberies 011th District
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of two Armed Robberies that have occurred in the 011th
District in the month of January. In both incidents, the victims had just left the gas
station when the offenders approached, displayed a handgun and took property from
the victims. Incident times and locations are listed below:
• 100 Block of South Cicero Avenue on January 2, 2017 at 6:20 am.
• 100 Block of South Cicero Avenue on January 9, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
CPD Community Alert- Armed Robberies in the 025th District
This alert gives notice of two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 025th District (Grand Central). In these two separate robberies, the offender used a gun to rob several victims inside a business, and then used a knife to rob a victim on the street a short distance away.
CPD Business Alert- Commercial Burglaries in the 015 and 025 Districts
This alert gives notice to several Burglaries to Cell Phone Stores located within the
boundaries of the 015th & 025th Districts. In these burglaries, the offender(s)
smashed the glass front door or window to gain entry and then removed property
from the business.
Two Charged in Police Involved Shooting in the 4500 Block of N. Kedzie Ave.
Brieto-Solano was arrested after he was identified as the person who committed an Aggravated Assault in the 4500 block of N. Kedzie on January 15, 2017, at 7:23 p.m. During this incident, Brieto-Solano, while inside of a vehicle, fired a handgun at an off-duty CPD Sergeant, a 45-year-old male, and a 43-year-old male before fleeing. After being shot at, an off-duty CPD Sergeant returned fire striking Brieto-Solano in the head. Shortly thereafter, Brieto-Solano arrived at Swedish Covenant Hospital to seek treatment for his injury. Ramirez was charged after he was identified as one of the offenders in the vehicle at the time of the shooting and as the offender who hid the gun on hospital grounds afterward.
