Israel Diaz, 25, and George Milero, 38, were arrested after they were identified as the offenders who were observed breaking into a home in the 1600 block of West 38th Pl. on February 2, 2016 at approximately 10:22 a.m. Deering (9th) District Commander Daniel Godsel was en route to deliver a custom notification letter as part of CPD’s focused deterrence efforts to reduce gang violence when he heard a dispatch call of a burglary-in-progress at the above address. When the Commander and a Deering (9th) District Sergeant arrived, pry marks were on the front door and two offenders were inside the residence. The Commander and Sergeant detained the offenders and subsequently placed them into custody. Diaz and Milero, documented gang members and convicted felons, were charged accordingly.

This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District of motor vehicle theft incidents that occurred in the Beverly & Morgan Park neighborhoods. Unknown offender(s) have been in the
area targeting Ford Econoline vans parked on residential streets. Offender(s) target this style vans
because of the tools and equipment they commonly contain. Four vans have been stolen in the area

This alert gives notice to commercial establishments in the 4th (South Chicago) and 22nd District (Morgan Park) of two reported drug store robberies. In each incident, the offender entered the location and approached the counter pretending to make a purchase. As the cashier opened the register, the offender produced a canister of pepper spray and discharged it in the face of the employee. The offender proceeded to remove money from the register and flee the location on foot.

Detectives are seeking to identify and interview the pictured subjects for the First Degree Murder which occurred on the 800 block of N. Orleans in Chicago on November 9, 2014 at approximately 2:24 A.M. The victim was stabbed multiple times at that location and died shortly after being transported to Northwestern Hospital. The male black subjects exited the pictured vehicle which appears to be a maroon Dodge Intrepid. Detectives are also seeking assistance in identifying any witnesses who were at the location at the time of the murder.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of January. In both instances, two offenders approached victims on the sidewalk, demanded property and took it by force. In one instance, the offenders implied that they had a weapon.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of January. In one instance, the offenders followed the victim on the CTA and punched the victim about the face and head in an attempt to take her cellphone. In another incident, the victim is approached by four offenders, who are riding in a red 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix. These offenders produced black handguns and forcibly took property prior to fleeing the area.
