9-Nov-18 Business Alert - Strong Arm Robberies 14th District (Shakespeare) and 25th District (Grand Central) NP

This alert gives notice to the businesses in the 14th District (Shakespeare) and 25th District (Grand Central), of recent strong arm robberies that have occurred on beats 1412 and 2523. In these incidents, an unknown offender entered the businesses and acted as if he was going to purchase an item. After the employee opened the cash register, the offender proceeded to take money from the cash register. In both of the listed incidents, the offender struggled with the employee and the offender was ultimately able to take an unknown amount of US currency from the cash register.

08 Nov 18 - 7th District - Community Alert Robbery
This alert gives notice to two recent robberies of tow truck drivers that have occurred in the Englewood neighborhood on beat 733. In these incidents, a tow truck company is called to have a car towed.  When the tow truck driver arrives to tow the car, an offender distracts the victim while the other two offenders exit the gangway armed with handguns.  The offenders rob the victim of his money, wallet and cellular phones.  All three offenders then flee on foot.

08 Nov 18 Community Alert - Residential Burglaries 20th District (Lincoln)-NP

This alert gives notice to three recent residential burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 20th District (Lincoln). These burglaries have occurred within a couple of blocks of each other. In these burglaries, the offender(s) gained entry into the premises through unlocked windows or by kicking open the rear door. Once inside, the offender(s) removed property from the apartment.

08 Nov 18 Community Alert - Robberies 16th District (Jefferson Park) and 25th District (Grand Central) NP

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 16th and 25th District of recent robberies that have occurred. In some incidents, the offender approached the victims from behind and snatched their cellphone and/or purse. In other incidents, the offender struck the victims and then forcibly took their cellphone and/or purse from their grip. In one incident the offender displayed a handgun to commit the robbery.
