Johnson was arrested and charged after he entered a restaurant and fatally shot a 41-year-old male during an armed robbery on October 31, 2014, at approx. 7:10 pm on the 5200 block of W. Madison. Through the course of the investigation, Johnson was also identified as the offender who entered a liquor store on July 26, 2014 on the 3100 block of W. Montrose. Johnson then robbed the store at gunpoint and fired a shot at a male victim. Johnson was subsequently taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Dwight Brown was arrested after he was identified as the person who stabbed a 60-year-old female in the 400 block of East 48th Pl. The victim was discovered unresponsive on February 2, 2015 at approximately 8:45 a.m and was pronounced on scene due to blunt trauma and stab wounds to the head and body. Brown was charged accordingly.

03Feb15 Charges for Dwight Brown

Joshua King was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot a 22 year old female on October 27, 2014 at approximately 9:40 a.m. in the 7600 block of S. Coles. The victim was taken to Trinity Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg where she was treated and released. King was charged accordingly. King appeared in bond court on January 30, 2015.

31Jan15 Charges for Joshua King

The above offender was arrested and charged after he was observed by Austin (015th) District officers on the roof of a business in the 5300 block of W. Harrison St. on January 30, 2015, at approximately 4:05 am. As the officers approached, the offender threatened to shoot the officers. The offender was subsequently taken into custody and charged accordingly. There were no reported injuries to officers and there was no weapon recovered. Further investigation revealed the offender had burglarized the store of numerous items, which were recovered.

31Jan15 Charges for Alvin Bowles

Christopher Cage was arrested after he was identified as the man who fatally shot a 24 year old male and wounded a 39 year old male on January 29, 2015, in the 11900 block of S. Yale Ave at approximately 2:05a.m. The 24 year old male was pronounced on scene with a gun shot wound to the head while the 39 year old male was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition with a gun shot wound to the chest. Cage was charged accordingly.

Dasyun Catchings was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot two people on September 21, 2014, at approximately 1:10 a.m. in the 5400 block of S. Justine. Catchings was involved in a domestic related verbal altercation prior to the shooting. A 39 year old female was struck shot twice in the buttocks and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition. The second victim, a male 38, was treated at St. Bernard’s Hospital for 3 gunshot wounds to the leg. Catchings was arrested and charged accordingly.
