This alert gives notice to businesses operating in the 012th District (Near West) of burglary related incidents which have occurred during the months of August and September. In these incidents, an offender forcefully enters commercial businesses through an exterior door and steals money, electronics, and other various items.
08 Sep 18 - West Side Man Charged in String of Armed Robberies
Jackson was arrested by the Area Central Robbery- Burglary Tactical officers on September 8, 2018 on the 400 block of North Oakley Blvd. at approximately 6:25 a.m. Officers approached Jackson while he was riding a bicycle after he matched the description of the offender wanted in numerous armed robberies and an attempted criminal sexual assault that occurred in the 12th District. Jackson was later positively identified as the offender and was charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
08 Sep 18 12th District Robberies and Attempt CSA P18-1-282 CA
This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of September on beats 1221 and 1223. In these incidents, the offender approaches victims on foot while they are walking or near a vehicle, displays a silver handgun, and takes the victim’s property. The offender flees the scene. In one incident, the offender directed a female victim to a gangway, demanded the victim to remove clothing, and searched the victim’s purse for condoms. The victim was able to scream, causing the offender to flee the scene. These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below.
07 Sep 18 - 12th District Attempt CSA JB424179
On September 6, 2018 at approximately 6:10 a.m., the female victim was entering her place of employment in the 500 block of N. Leavitt when the offender approached on foot, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The victim had no money and the offender forced the victim at gunpoint to walk into an alley, then into a gangway between two residences. The offender demanded the victim to undress. The victim was able to break free from the offender and scream for help. The offender then fled on foot.
31 Aug 18 Community Alert Major Accidents - -CA JB415148 1200 s halstedOn Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 1:55 p.m., a black colored Ford Crown Victoria vehicle bearing Illinois License Plate AJ81664, was traveling southbound in the 1200 block of South Halsted St. The Ford struck a 60 year old pedestrian, who was on a stand-up lawn mower, resulting in serious personal injuries. After the impact, the driver of the Ford vehicle fled southbound on Halsted Street failing to leave identification or render aid to the injured. The Ford Crown Victoria vehicle has extensive front end damage.
28 Aug 18 Community Alert 12th District - Wanted for Arm Robbery and Criminal Sexual Assault JB393992On August 14, 2018, at 11:22 p.m., as the victim was preparing to enter a property, she observed the offender riding a bike on the street, in circles. The victim entered the property and locked the gate behind her. Several minutes later, the victim went outside and observed the offender in the yard. The offender had apparently climbed the fence to gain access to the front yard. In the yard, the offender displayed a handgun, demanded money, and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

Area Central Detectives are seeking to identify the below pictured subject in relation to a burglary that occurred in the 012th District (Near West). This incident occurred at City Escape Garden Center located at 3022 W. Lake Street, on 12 AUG 18, at approximately 6:47PM to 11:30 PM.
