This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 011th District (Harrison) of two robberies that occurred in the month of March. In both incidents, the victims were passengers on a CTA train when the offenders approached the victims and demanded their jackets and cell phones.

The above offenders were arrested after being positively identified as the individuals who assaulted an off-duty Officer. Anthony Castaneda struck the 37-year-old male victim multiple times in the upper body with a baseball bat causing injuries to the Officer on March 19, 2016 at approximately 10:30 P.M. in the 2600 block of N. Monitor Avenue.

Dwon Wright,18, was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot three people in the 3700 block of W. Grenshaw Street. This incident occurred on March 18, 2016, at approximately 3:15 p.m. Three male victims were driving in a grey sedan when the offender fired shots at their vehicle. The victims transported themselves to Mt. Sinai Hospital. The victims included an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the arm and back, a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back, and a 21-year-old man with a graze wound to the head.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 011th, 014th and 015th Districts of Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, four to six unknown male black offenders exited out of a silver or white Chevrolet Malibu, displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of their property.

On February 16, 2016 at approximately 5:18 p.m., two pedestrians, a male and a female, both 16-years-old, were struck by a vehicle as they were crossing the street in the 5300 Block of W. Grand Avenue. The victims were struck by an unknown vehicle.  is described as a dark green in color, SUV, (possible Jeep Rubicon with spare tire on back and “Rubicon” printed on hood). The vehicle fled southbound on Laramie Avenue.For More Information Click Here

The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Town Hall (019th) District at 2601 W. Irving Park. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday March 11th, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th, 2016.
