Medina and Marchan were arrested after they were identified as the persons who entered several retail businesses in the 17th and 25th districts from February 1st to March 25, 2015 and robbed the establishments. Medina entered the businesses announced a robbery and displayed a handgun on two of the incidents and a knife in the others, before demanding money and property. Medina would then flee in a vehicle driven by Marchan. Area North detectives issued a Business Alert on March 17, 2015 informing the business owners in the area. Commercial Burglaries District 019 (Town Hall)
About the Crime:
There have been three recent overnight burglaries to retail stores in District 019. In two of these cases, an unknown offender shattered the front glass door/window of a business. In the third incident, entry was made by breaking through the wall.

Business Alert: Retail Store Robberies – 25th District
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 25th District of a pattern of small retail store robberies. There have been three incidents where an offender enters a business establishment, displays a knife, and demands money.
Incident times and locations:
- 2300 block of N. Avers on 06 March 2015, at 11:58 a.m.
- 4400 block of W. Belmont on 11 March 15, at 5:38 p.m.
- 3700 block of W. Armitage on 15 March 15, at 7:58 p.m.
The offender is described as a male Hispanic, 20-30 years of age, 5’04” – 5’06”, 130-150lbs.In two incidents, the offender was wearing a black ski mask and a black hooded sweatshirt.
*In the incident on Belmont the offender fled in a blue colored vehicle with temporary license plates.

Wanted for Aggravated Robbery 011th District (Harrison)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Aggravated Robberies that have occurred in the month of March. In both incidents, the offender implied that he had a handgun and demanded property from the victim.
Burglaries 24th District (Rogers Park)
About the Crime:
Burglaries have occurred in the 024th District where an offender(s) entered a residence by punching out the rear door window, prying at the door lock and then kicking in the door. In another burglary, an offender(s) pried open the rear door of a residence being rehabbed and punched out the lock.
Commercial Burglaries 24th District (Rogers Park)
About the Crime:
Burglaries have occurred in the 024th District where an offender throws a large paver brick or other object through the side window of the business to gain entry. Offender(s) took bottles of liquor, cash and cigarettes.
Criminal Sexual Abuse 025th (Grand Central) District
About the Crime:
On March 9, 2015 at approximately 8:35 a.m., a 38-year-old female was walking alone on the 3000 block of N. Mason when a male offender approached her and attempted to engage her in conversation of a sexual nature after which he exposed his penis and continued to walk southbound on Mason.
