This alert gives notice to business community of the 007th District (ENGLEWOOD) of armed robberies involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the offenders entered the business. A firearm was produced and the stores were robbed.
This alert gives notice to residents of the South Chicago (004th) District of two recent robberies that occurred along 87th Street between Phillips and Colfax Avenues. In each incident, the victims were either riding a CTA bus or had just exited a CTA Bus when they were approached by the offender(s) who battered and robbed them.
Garcia, C. Camerena and I. Camarena were detained after officers responding to a call of arson in progress arrived on scene and observed the three offenders fleeing from the back of the residences on the 1400 block of W. Marquette Rd. on August 2, 2016 at approximately 9:25 pm. Further investigation revealed an unconscious child wrapped in a burnt blanket in the basement of the building. The male child was pronounced on scene. An odor of lighter fluid could be smelled by officers emanating from the three offenders. Garcia, C. Camarena and I. Camarena were placed into custody and charged accordingly. Area South Detectives are awaiting further results from the Medical Examiner for additional possible charges. This alert gives notice to citizens of the 006th District (Gresham) of Robbery incidents that have occurred in recent weeks. During these incidents, unknown offender(s) displayed firearms and demanded property from the victims or used force to take the property without a weapon.
This alert gives notice to residents residing in the 6th district (Gresham) of robberies that occurred between 16 July 2016 and 19 July 2016. In these incidents two to three unknown male black offenders approached the victim(s) and displayed a handgun and demanded money or anything of value. The offenders may be driving a silver van or black SUV.
