On May 5, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 15-year-old female was walking eastbound in the 5500 block of W. Balmoral Avenue, when she was approached from behind by an unknown male. The male subject placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and forced her toward the alley. The offender then grabbed the victim’s breasts and groin area. The victim was able to break free and flee from the offender. The offender’s direction of flight is unknown.

This alert gives notice to residents of the South Chicago (4th) District of three recent robberies which occurred in close proximity to one another and involved a similarly described offender. Brazel was arrested and charged accordingly after being positively identified as the person who on April 30, 2016 at approximately 10:47 p.m. on the 5500 block of S. Archer Ave. struck two pedestrains with his vehicle as they crossed the street. For More Information Click Here

This alert gives notice to businesses of the 016th District (Jefferson Park) of burglary related incidents that have occurred recently during the night. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) either shattered the front window of the business or pried open the front/rear doors to gain access and removed items from therein. Detectives are looking for help identifying a female and male offender who approached the victim, and attempted to take her cell phone by punching her.  One offender also bit the victim in the hand. This incident occurred on the CTA Blue Line at approximately Western on April 28 2016, 10:50 a.m.

About the offenders:

#1 – male black approximately 25-35 years old; 6’00”; 180 lbs. with black hair wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

#2 – female black approximately 18-25 years old; 5’06”; 120 lbs. wearing a dark colored ‘Aero Postle’ sweatshirt and black pants.
