About the Crime:
On Saturday, March 18, 2017, at approximately 12:30p.m., in the 6000 block of
South Talman Ave, Chicago Il, an unknown male driving a Ford Escort, dark green in
color bearing license plate ZV62672, attempted to lure a 13 year old female as she
walked down the sidewalk. The male driver asked the victim where she was going
and used a hand gesture and motioned her to come to his vehicle. The victim
informed her mother of what had just transpired. The offender fled but returned a
short time later, pulled up to the victim’s mother asking the whereabouts of the
victim.
About The Offender
• Offender (Driver) – A male black, short black hair between the age of 30-35, Dark
complexion wearing maroon colored baseball cap. The offender did not have
visible tattoos / piercings.
Vehicle Driven
• 1999 2 door Ford Escort, dark green color. License plate ZV62672. No
noticeable logos, stickers or damage on the vehicle.
What you can do:
• Be aware of this situation and alert your neighbors.
• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity in your
neighborhood.
• Do not let children walk or play alone. Identify safe havens along your child’s
route between school and home, such as businesses or trusted neighbors.
• Always teach your children to be aware of their surroundings.

 About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have recently occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows and doors. The offenders have taken computer laptops, electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.

Incident times and locations:

There have been several incidents that have occurred since February 26, 2017. These incidents have taken place on Beat 1634, within the boundaries of Belmont to Irving Park and Cicero to Long, mostly during the day and early evening hours.

3200 block of N.  Lockwood on February 26, 2017 between 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM

3300 block of N   Lockwood on March 01, 2017 between 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

5200 block of W. Roscoe on March 01, 2017 at 1:28 PM

5200 block of W. Warwick on March 10-13, 2017 between 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM

This alert gives notice to residents in the 009th District of robbery incidents that
occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, armed offenders
approached the victims and demanded their property. Incident times and locations
are listed below:
• 700 Block of West 51st Street on March 8, 2017 at 5:35AM.
• 5400 Block of South Wells Street on March 8, 2017 at 6:40PM.
About the Offenders:
• Female, 23-27 years of age, 5’02, 145lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, dark
complexion. Tattoo on left and right hand.
• One male black, 23-27 years of age, 6’00, 170lbs., brown eyes, dreadlocks,
medium complexion.
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm

10 Mar 17 – Community Alert- 19th District -Agg Criminal Sexual Assault

About the Crimes:
On February 28, 2017 at approximately 12:00 a.m., a 25 year old woman was walking to her
vehicle in the 1200 block of West Barry when the offender approached her and displayed a
handgun. The offender then demanded the victim give him all her money. The victim
complied and the offender then forced the victim into her vehicle at gunpoint. Once inside
the victim’s car, the offender sexually assaulted the victim. The offender then fled on foot in
an unknown direction.
On March 9, 2017 at approximately 8:20 p.m., the 24 year old woman was exiting a
residential garage and walking towards a residence on the 3700 block of North Fremont
when the offender approached her from behind and displayed a handgun. The offender then
ordered the victim into the garage where he ordered her to give him all of her belongings.
The offender then ordered the victim into the trunk of her vehicle and sexually assaulted her.
The offender, with the victim now in the truck, drove to several locations in the 5th District
attempting to withdraw money from several ATM’s. The offender then crashed the vehicle on
the 11500 block of South Throop and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Offender’s Description
Feb, 28, 2017 incident:
• The offender is described as a Male Black, 25-30 years of age, 5’8-5’10, 150-170lbs,
short black hair, medium complexion, short beard/scruff on chin with a mole on his
face. The offender was wearing a brown or green colored sleeveless vest, black
button-downed shirt with white markings across the bottom and dark colored pants.
Mar, 09, 2017 incident:
• The offender is described as a Male Black, 25-35 years of age, 5’10, 160-200lbs,
short black hair, medium complexion, scruffy goatee with a thin mustache. The
offender was wearing a red colored zip up style jacket with brown khaki pants.
** NOTE: Both these incidents are similar and MAY be the same offender however this
has not been confirmed at this time. **
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings.
• Pay special attention to suspicious people loitering in the area and report them to the
police.
• If confronted by an offender, remain calm.
• Remember any unique descriptive characteristics of offenders (Scars, limp, acne, teeth
etc.)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to police.
• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender.
• Walk in pairs.
