The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Shakespeare (14th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13th, 2015.
Roadside Safety Check – Grand Crossing (3rd) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Grand Crossing (3rd) District at 6401 S. Cottage. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th, 2015.

This alert gives notice to the citizens in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of September. In these incidents, the offender(s) approach victims, demand property, and flee the area. In one instance, the offender(s) punched the victim in the face.

Business Alert – Burglaries – 022nd District – Morgan Park
This alert gives notice to businesses in the Morgan Park (22nd) District of two recent commercial burglary incidents that occurred in the Beverly neighborhood. The targeted businesses were located on the 10200 & 10400 blocks of Western Avenue. In one incident the offender(s) made entry by prying open a window, and in the other, the offender(s) entered by breaking into a vacant office next to the business, then breaching the wall between the businesses. Money & property were taken from the businesses. All of the burglaries occur during late night/early morning hours between 12:00am – 07:00am.

Community Alert – Robberies – 012th District (Near West)
This alert gives notice to citizens in the 012th District of robbery related incidents that have occurred on Beat 1232 during the month of September. In these incidents, one offender approaches the victims on the street and robs them of personal
property by knocking the victim down or implying he has a gun.
Community Alert – Death Investigation Assistance – Garfield Park
The Chicago Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in resolving an on-going death investigation. Over the Labor Day weekend, the Department recovered several body parts which appear to be from a child between 18 months and 4 years of age. The recovery was made from the lagoon in Garfield Park. All the body parts appear to be from the same victim. At this time, based on several factors, we believe the child to most likely have been African American or bi-racial with short, black hair, suggesting male gender-although female cannot be ruled out. Anyone who may believe that a child from the community is missing under unusual or suspicious circumstances is asked to call and report it.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Burglary related incidents that have occurred during the months of August and September. In these incidents, an unknown offender(s) enters the victim’s residence through an unlocked window or unlocked rear door and removes the victim’s property.

This alert makes citizens in the 002nd District (Wentworth) aware of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the months of August and September. In these incidents, the offender approaches the female victims, threatens them with violence and takes their property.
Community Alert – Wanted for Armed Robberies – 004th District (South Chicago)
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 004th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies reported in the 8000 block of South Coles. In each incident, the victims, all of whom were lawn care professionals, were robbed by armed offenders.
