Two Charged in North Side Battery
Fichter and Soto were arrested and charged in connection to a battery that occurred in the 800 block of N. Ashland on March 6, 2016 at approximately 9:15 p.m. The offenders were involved in a verbal altercation on the street with a 30-year-old male when the offenders began beating the victim and then struck him in the head with a bottle and metal object. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention on the scene. Fichter and Soto fled the scene and were later identified and placed into custody on March 16, 2016 and charged accordingly.

03Mar16 Charge Release Murder – Reggie Daniel
Reggie Daniel was arrested after he was identified as the man who murdered a 45-year-old male in the 500 block of S. Kinzie Street on March 2, 2016 at approximately 7:05 p.m. After a verbal altercation, Daniel shot the victim in the head and chest and fled the scene. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced. Later, Reggie Daniel turned himself into police custody and he was charged accordingly.

Kevin Mason was arrested after he was identified as the man who murdered a 62-year-old male. Willie Clay was arrested after he was involved in a traffic accident in the 2700 Block of West 57th St on January 19, 2016, at 10:07 a.m. The vehicle Clay was driving was reported stolen during a vehicular hijacking which was reported on January 8, 2016, at 5:04 a.m., and was taken from the 1900 North block of Whipple St. Officers discovered a replica of a semi-automatic handgun inside the crashed vehicle. Through the course of the investigation, Clay was identified as the offender in several armed robberies on the City’s West Side and North Side. Clay was transported to Mt Sinai Hospital for treatment of his injuries sustained during the crash and was charged accordingly.
Juvenile Charged in Near West Armed Robbery
