This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District, in the East Beverly neighborhood of two recent Armed Robbery incidents that occurred on February 25th & March 1st 2016. In both of these incidents, two unknown male offenders approach a male victim walking alone. The offenders either display a handgun or pretend they have one by placing their hand in their sweatshirt, and demand the victim’s property. These robberies occurred between the hours of 8:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
This alert gives notice to the community of recent robbery incidents involving similar circumstances. Between Feb 12, 2016 and Feb 18, 2016, on three occasions, taxi cabs arrived at locations in the 6600 block of South Honore and Wolcott, at which time the drivers were robbed at gun point.
This alert gives notice to businesses and residents of the South Shore (004th) District of two recent armed robberies that along 95th Street involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the offenders entered the commercial establishment, produced a firearm, and announced a robbery. The offenders proceeded to remove USC from the registers and take possession of cellular phones before fleeing the location on foot.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol along the Dan Ryan Expressway (6300 South to 9500 South). The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 13th, 2016.
