The robberies happen very early in the morning. In each case, the offenders approach the victim on the sidewalk, and the first offender points a handgun at the side of the victim’s head before the offenders take the victim’s property. The offenders flee on foot or in a silver car, described as either a coupe or small sedan.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of garage burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of April. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into residential garages and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 010th District (Ogden) of an Aggravated Battery with a Firearm which occurred on the 2200 block of S. Marshall Blvd on April 10th, 2016 at approximately 1:00 A.M.  The victim was inside his parked vehicle when the offender approached on foot and fired several gunshots striking the victim before fleeing southbound on foot.

This alert gives notice to business owners having operations in the 019th District (North) of an increase in Burglary related incidents that have occurred during the months of March and AprilIn these incidents, offender(s) used force and unlawfully entered into restaurants after business hours. Once inside, offender(s) targeted computer equipment and cash from deposit envelopes and cash drawers.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows or doors, and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.

Incident times and locations:

There have been several incidents that have occurred since March 20, 2016. These incidents have taken place on Beat 1624, within the boundaries of Cicero to Narragansett and Montrose to Irving Park Road, mostly during the day and early evening hours.

On March 23, 2016, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a female 14 years old was walking north on the 2300 block of north Moody. An unknown male offender, motioned to the victim to come to his vehicle. When the victim ignored his gesture, he opened his door, to exit the vehicle. The victim, in fear, fled on foot, the offender followed in his vehicle. The offender attempted to block the path of the victim, who continued to flee. The offender was last seen east bound in the south alley of Fullerton.

The offender is described as a male, race unknown, 18-35, with a shaved head and tan skin wearing a white dress shirt with red colored neck tie. The vehicle is an unknown make and model, 4-doors, black in color with silver trim around the windows.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002rd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, three offenders approached victims and demanded/forcibly removed personal property before fleeing area. In one instance, an offender exposed his waistband to reveal a handgun.
